In accordance with ministerial duty, every healthcare institution in the province of Quebec must register for accreditation so that the quality and safety of the care and services it offers can be evaluated, as part of a continuous quality improvement program.

The ECA-PTM facilitates the accreditation process via centralized management and dissemination of all organizational practices based on standards developed from best practices, while taking into account each institution’s situation and characteristics.

The solution’s management, dissemination, self-evaluation, traceability and measurement functionalities make it possible to set forth organizational practices pertaining to the policies, procedures, protocols, techniques and methods used when the institution offers care and services.

Thus, by applying a standardized library of organizational practices and clinical know-how to the entire institution, the ECA-PTM partially ensures the quality and safety of the care and services offered. This supports a continuous re-skilling approach for clinical teams, based on best practices.
